2012 Outlook & Strategies Conference

OVERVIEW

Industry leaders specializing in package design, the economy, and brand management will come together to impart their knowledge, experience, and business predictions at the 2012 Outlook and Strategies Conference. The conference will feature a reception at the famous Churchill Downs racetrack, a talk by the celebrated economist Alan Beaulieu from the Institute of Trend Research, an optional plant tour of a local converting facility, an awards dinner to celebrate the 2012 Gair Award winner, and much more!

CONFERENCE ATTIRE GUIDELINES
Business casual is the requested attire for all PPC Committee Meetings and General Sessions as well as the reception/dinner on Wednesday evening. Thursday evening will be the more formal of the two dinners so jackets/ties (suits preferable) are suggested for men and dressy attire for women.

WEATHER
Louisville at this time of year averages daytime highs in the mid 50s, with colder temperatures in the mid-30s at night.

·       Ned Monroe from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and Jean-Michel Laurin from Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) will provide U.S. and Canadian legislative updates and describe the benefits of cross-border economic cooperation.


·       Tom Hattersley, partner at Pathway Guidance, LLC, will disclose best practices for recruiting and retaining superior employees.


·       Greg Gordillo, Business Development Associate at Bureau Veritas Certification North America, Inc., will demystify the various fiber certification organizations and options.
