PPC's Industry Information program is designed to meet the varied interests and needs of the membership.  The Industry Information Committee mission below reflects the committee’s desire to provide more than just research but tools that our members companies can use to enhance their businesses. Its also indicates the role of industry information as a tool to use for communication with the business world.

To attain our mission, the committee has enhanced current products like the TRENDS Report, Performance Report and Customer Satisfaction Survey while developing new products like the Waste Survey, the Industry Profile and a set of Productivity Measures with the T&P committee.

Major Industry Information Programs/Products:

Industry Statistics Program: Folding carton data is collected on a monthly basis from participating member companies.  Participants receive a monthly and annul report.  The reports provide data that can be used to track trends in the industry, benchmark a company's performance against other paperboard converters, and provide data to support business development and marketing plans. The Industry Statistics Program is unique since it is the only monthly survey of detailed folding carton data for the United States market. 

Trends Report: Annual report that tracks the trends in the folding carton market and the major end-user segments of interest to folding carton  manufacturers. The report also covers trends in the U.S. economy.


 

Performance Report for Management: Benchmarking data for financial performance including most standard ratios, labor costs, sales costs, maintenance, EBITDA, etc.

 

Total Cost Model: Benchmarking data on the cost of components in a standard bid process. 
 

Customer Satisfaction Survey: A survey of your customers conducted by Gantz Wiley.  The results will show how well you meet their needs. Includes comparison data with other suppliers as well as trend data. Pinpoints areas where you could perform better.

 

Waste Survey: Detailed benchmarking data on paperboard waste that converters can use to pinpoint opportunities for improvement at every process stage.
